How do I use the Online store?

Step 1: Select a product from our Shop menu or view all the options in our menu by clicking on the SHOP menu in the top left corner.
Step 2: When you have decided on your cake, add any extras that you want, using the drop down menu.

Step 3 : Click on the ‘Add to Cart’ button, and either continue shopping or go to your cart by clicking on the shopping cart icon in the top right corner. If you have a coupon code, enter it here, and click on the ‘Proceed to Checkout’ button.
Step 3: Choose to have your cake delivered or pick it up at our central store in Illovo, Johannesburg. (This option will only be available when Covid regulations allow). Select the Date and Time of collection you would like using the calendar and time selector. Choose your payment method and click on the ‘Place Order’ button.
Step 4: Follow the payments instructions carefully. 

Are you Halaal?

We are SANHA Certified

Are you Kosher?

We are kosher friendly – all of our ingredients are kosher, but we are not certified.

Do you personalize cakes?

Yes, we offer plaques and messages, cards, and decor on all of our cakes. Use the drop down menu to select the options that you want.

Do you make custom cakes?

We make bespoke cakes for any occasion. Please enquire under Specialty Cakes

When should I place my order?

For standard cakes, we ask for 24 hours notice with payment.
For specialty cakes, enquire under Specialty Cakes

Must the products be kept in the fridge?

Yes, please keep the cake in the fridge and take it out an hour prior to serving. Our cakes are best served at room temperature.

Food Allergies?

Belles Patisserie makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause an allergic reaction for those with food allergies. However there is always risk of contamination as in our bakery we use the following: *Products with nuts & nut by-products *Eggs & egg by-products *Milk & diary products *Wheat Although we have strict cross contamination policies; we cannot guarantee a total absence of these items in any of our products. Customers with food allergies must be aware of this risk. Belles Patisserie will not assume any liability for adverse reactions from the food consumed, or items one may come in contact with whilst consuming our products.

Can you freeze the products?

Yes, our products freeze exceptionally well.

Can you make bigger cakes?

Our standard cakes come in the following sizes: 10cm & 25cm. For any size, flavour, decor that is not on our standard list, please enquire under the specialty cake option. We look forward to designing a beautiful bespoke cake with you!

How long will the cake keep fresh?

Our cakes have a 3-4 days shelf life, when stored correctly in the fridge

Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver to most areas in JHB! Simply enter your postal code upon checkout to view the delivery cost. We currently only have a 8:00 – 17:00 delivery timeslot. We do not deliver to areas outside of JHB.

Do you do wedding cakes?

Yes! We specialize in wedding cakes. Please enquire under the Specialty Cakes option

How many servings do you get from a Belles Cake?

Our mini cakes serve 3-4 people guests and our standard cakes serve 10 to 12 guests. This all depends on the size of the slice.

Can I cancel or change my order?

We need 48 hours notice to cancel or change your order. If you cancel your order within 48 hours, we will create a credit voucher for you to use at a later stage with Belles Patisserie. Cakes ordered within the 24 hours minimum period cannot be cancelled or changed.

Do you accept cash on delivery?

Unfortunately not, as we are a cash-free operation. All orders should be placed online and paid for in full via one of our payment gateways.
